Brian Lloyd Jewell

February 27, 1944 to December 25, 2008

Brian passed away quietly at home early Christmas morning with his beloved wife Michelle by his side following a 10 month battle with cancer. He will be greatly missed by his sister Lauretta (Bob), brother John (Val), niece Serena, nephew Andrew (Donna), grand-nephew Dezmond, his Uncle Alan, Auntie Anita, and Auntie Alice, and a multitude of friends.

A shy, quiet man with an enormous heart, Brian stood tall above the crowd with his generosity and his empathy for others, especially those whose road he perceived as perhaps more difficult than his own. A dreamer, a thinker and an inventor, Brian was at his happiest when he was building something in his shop.

A celebration of his life was held Tuesday, Dec. 30th at the United Church followed by a reception at the Harbour House. Special thanks to Dr. Jan Malherbe, Bonnie, and Pat for their kind attention and care, and to First Responders Geoff and Mitchell and the paramedic ambulance team, who did their very best to save him. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the local food bank.
