Yin Yoga is slow paced style where the postures are held for longer periods of time to create a moderate stress on the connective tissues of the body with the aim to improve circulation, joint health and flexibility. In this class, all of the poses are either seated or reclined using bolsters and blocks for support. This slow approach is inherently meditative and encourages quiet self reflection, self compassion and relaxation. To encourage your body to relax even further while you are in these yin yoga posture we massage you! With 2 practitioners and 6 participants that equals a lot of hands on relaxation enhancements. This is a class for all levels of experience and the studio is at a cozy room temperature so that you can relax as if you were on a mini tropical vacation.
