Diane Elizabeth Carr
November 12, 1941 – September 1, 2016
After a short struggle with pancreatic cancer Diane Carr passed peacefully in her home surrounded by loved ones.
Diane was born in Aldershot, UK but spent her youth in Port Alberni. Later she lived in Victoria, Vancouver, Calgary, Baca Grande, Colorado and for five years sailed the world.
Diane was fiercely intelligent, articulate and knowledgeable with a strong voice for beauty, truth and justice. She made an enduring contribution to Canadian ceramic art. She was a spokeswoman for breast cancer, an advocate for the homeless and an activist for good land use and city making.
She will be missed by many.
