Flood, Anne Pauline (A.P.) (Richardson)

(nee Punchard)

December 3, 1930 – January 6, 2014

Mum was born in London, England and immigrated to Canada in 1956 with her husband, Jack Richardson and three of her seven children.

Predeceased by son Michael. Survived by Paul (Susan), Jackie (Les), Julie (Richard), Virginia (Paul), Rose (Ian), Chris (Natalie) thirteen grandchildren, Jill, April, Stuart, Crystal, Bryan, Carly, Stephanie, Kristina, Robbie, Gordie, Alana, Naomi, Blake and eight great grandchildren, Jackson, Sophia, Magnus, Justice, Boston, Soleil, Brayden, and Scarlett.

Mum was the loving mother of seven children. Our dear Mum loved gardening, sailing and camping. She also had a love for photography, music and was an avid reader. In earlier years Mum was active in local musicals, choir, horseback riding and tennis. She had a love for animals and was devoted to her dogs, Poppy and Daisy.

She was well known in the community for her volunteer time with Our Lady of Grace Parish, Lady Minto Auxiliary and the Power Squadron.

Mum was a loyal, supportive, knowledgeable, kind-hearted person who’s wisdom and great sense of humor will be dearly missed. Her youthful beauty was admired.

Mum lived on Salt Spring Island for 22 years and had a wonderful circle of friends that she loved. She was always active and made frequent trips in her Mustang convertible to Victoria, Vancouver and Kelowna to see her family and friends. Mum passed away peacefully in New Westminster at her daughter Rosies’s home where she was surrounded by all of her children. We will miss her very much.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Our Lady of Grace Church, 135 Drake Road, Ganges, Saltspring Island with Father Frank Franz. Reception to follow at the church. Burial will be at Central Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to SPCA.
