Holley Rubinsky

Holley Rubinsky, born in Los Angeles May 8, 1943, passed away on August 1, 2015 in Kaslo, B.C., her home of more than 30 years, with close friends by her side.
Holley, an award winning writer, contributed to the Canadian literary world by writing, editing, teaching children, interviewing authors, and holding writing retreats in her home.
She had connections to Salt Spring Island authors and held her most recent book launch in our library.
She was pre-deceased by her loving husband, Yuri, in 1996, father-in-law, Andre (2001) and most recently, mother-in-law, Anna on June 25, 2015. She is survived by her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Kathryn and John Akehurst and nephews, Jamie and Christopher as well as her daughter, Robin Ballard (Martin) and grandsons, Jasper and Sebastien in Switzerland.
