Heather Lynn PATERSON

Heather Lynn Paterson

Mar. 18th 1962 – Apr. 12th 2016

Heather passed away peacefully, her last regret was that she was going to miss her gardening and her people. Survived by her parents, Carol and Jim, brother and sister, Wayne and Lynsey (Roger), her nieces and nephews Molly (Mike) Toby, Penny and Cub. Many cousins and friends.

Over fifteen years ago a girl arrived on Salt Spring with a bike and a dream. This dream included a love of gardening. Over the years Heather worked her way into the gardens and hearts of many islanders. Always sharing a laugh and a cup of tea, she offered much more than gardening, she gave true friendship.

Heather’s fight with cancer included motor-biking, skiing, skate-boarding, biking and her newest love paddle boarding! She fought it to the end.

To all of you who were lucky enough to be one of her people, thank you from her family, and our thanks for the wonderful caring from Dr. Butcher and the staff at the Lady Minto Hospital.

Heather lived life her way right to the end. Celebration of Life to be held in North Vancouver at a later date.
