Islanders invited to first meeting of new group, which will meet every second Sunday at the Senior’s Wellness Office, 129 Hereford Avenue, at 1 p.m.
Launch of Xwaaqw'um Snuhwulh Cedar Big Canoe at Xwaaqw'um (Burgoyne Bay) near the Welcome Poles. 1 p.m. Salmon & rice potluck lunch afterwards (2 p.m.ish). Bring your own dishes, camp chair and small donation to support travel for elders and to help finish the canoe. To help with volunteering, email lboyer@shaw.ca
