This year’s feature family is the Chenopodiaceae, AKA the Goosefoot Family. Beets, Spinach, Chard, Quinoa, Sorrel, and Purlsane all come to us from this lineage, and their trusty and probing taproots lend this family a hardiness that sustains the calendar year.
