Donald Richard HARRISON

Donald Richard Harrison

Nov 17, 1941-Oct 14, 2016

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Don (Donnie). He leaves behind his wife Anna, daughters Denise (Ray) and Jodie (Marcel) Sisters Francis (Ed), Victoria (Bob) nephew Robert (son of late brother George), 22 (great) nieces/nephews.

In the last 5 years as he battled illness with strength and determination he continued to bring laughter to the many who knew and loved him.

Don had spent many wonderful years and had fond memories of his involvement with Salt Spring Islands Rotary Club, Lions Club, Rod and Gun Club and as a Fire Department Trustee. He had spent 55+ years working as a butcher carrying on a long family tradition in the meat industry.

His love of the outdoors took him on many adventures; hunting and fishing being a past times he very much enjoyed.

Don requested no service but we ask you to take a moment on November 17, his 75th birthday, to join us at 7:30pm wherever you are in raising a glass in his honour.

In lieu of flowers a donation to the Salvation Army Buchanan Lodge or Kidney foundation would be appreciated. Please share your fond memories with his family at
